A lively outdoor farmers market with vendors selling fresh vegetables, fruits, and handmade jewelry. Shoppers browse and chat, with some enjoying live music performed by a guitarist on a small stage. Colorful tents and banners, including ones that say "Local Goodness" and "Sustainable Choices," decorate the market, which is set in a green park on a sunny day.

Leimert Park Village Crenshaw Corridor BID & Merchants Association launch a re-envisioned vendor marketplace

Attention Leimert Park Vendors: New Registration Required for Degnan Boulevard Market

After 40 years of hosting the weekly craft and food market on Degnan Boulevard, Leimert Park Village is implementing some changes to improve the event for everyone. To create a safer, cleaner, and more organized market, the Leimert Park Village Crenshaw Corridor Business Improvement District (BID) is now the official organizer of the festivities relating to the Historic African Market Place and Bazaar.

This means that all vendors who wish to continue selling on Degnan Boulevard must register with the BID. This new system aims to address issues that have arisen over the years, such as excessive trash, illegal camping, and vending in parking spaces.

Key Changes:

  • Official Organizer: The Leimert Park Village Business Improvement District (BID) is now the sole organizer of the market.

  • Vendor Registry: A new registry has been created for all vendors to sign up and secure their spot.

  • Purpose: The goal is to better manage the market, ensure public safety, and maintain a clean environment for all.

To register and continue being a part of this vibrant community event, please contact the Leimert Park Village BID. Their new system will help ensure the market continues to thrive for many years to come.

How to Register:

For more information and to register, please contact the BID directly. You can find their contact information on their website or by visiting their office in the village.
